Laura Platte is a research associate and doctoral candidate at the Individual and Technology Group at the Department of Society, Technology, and Human Factors. She works in the project UrbANT, investigating amongst other things the social interaction of a robotic last-mile delivery system with pedestrians in public spaces. Her research interests include the perception of artificially intelligent systems and the verbal and non-verbal strategies in the negotiation of space in human-robot-interaction in public spaces.
Laura Platte completed her Bachelor's degree in Linguistics & Communication Science and Corporate Pedagogy & Psychology of Knowledge in 2014. In 2017, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Digital Media Communication at at RWTH Aachen University. After her studies, she worked at the Chair for Information Management in Mechanical Engineering until May 2019.
